Twinkle Toes Tweedlemen was the first baby pig who ever lived on the Trotter's Farm; and, so, they nicknamed her Babycakes. Babycakes loved growing up on the Trotter's Farm, especially the time spent preparing for the State County Fair; when Mitzy, the Trotter's daughter, would hand wash and paint Babycakes' toes in bright, sparkly colors.

The Trotter's worked long hours to keep their farm acres clean and were most popular for having raised champion farm animals. Tidbit, the Trotter's horse, had already won a national championship wreath, and Babycakes had won first prize in the County Fair Beauty Competition.

This upcoming year, the Trotter's decided not to compete in the farm animal competition, but to enter Mrs. Trotter's recipe for plum preserves into the Country Store Contest. With the fair dates set for just a few weeks away, the farm hands were busy picking the Trotter's crop of perfectly ripened purple plums. Sparky, the Trotter's dog, watched closely for his chance to go fetch one. Once a plum was thrown down to him, Mitzy ran quickly, removed the pit, and fed Sparky right from the palm of her hand.

On the day of the fair, the Trotter's waved so long to everyone who had helped them prepare. As they drove the family pickup down to the main road, Mitzy waved a special goodbye to Babycakes and Tidbit.

The Country Store Contest was a two-day event. Mrs. Trotter had to arrive early enough to submit 10 jars of her plum preserves and the recipe card so the fair goers could taste all of the entries and cast a vote for their favorite flavors.

Mrs. Trotter would not be upset if she was not the winner. She was thankful to all of the farm hands and exceptional teamwork it had taken just to get her there.

And the winner is: Trotter's Farm Market!

Surprisingly, Mrs. Trotter walked up to accept the winning prize of a jar of her preserves, already packaged for the Country Store.

Mitzy couldn't wait to get back home and tell Babycakes that her day at the fair was

Perfectly Purplelicious!
